Yanzu – Chinese in Upper Secondary Schools is a national project financed by the Finnish National Board of Education. The project was initiated in the autumn of 2011, and is coordinated by Vaskivuori Upper Secondary School.
The aim of the project is to build a network for all upper secondary schools in Finland that show interest towards the education of Chinese language and culture. The project is actively organizing seminars for teachers and students of Chinese language as well as other events.
At present, the Yanzu network includes 19 schools in 13 cities around Finland.
The Yanzu project has also been actively cooperating with Chinese language teachers and similar projects in other European countries including France, Sweden and Norway, visiting seminars and inviting guests to our events in Finland. There have been initial plans for a Nordic cooperation project but as of January 2016, no concrete plans are made.
We will be adding more English info on our site later. For the time being, for any questions please contact: email@example.com (project coordinator Veli-Matti Palomäki)
